Willian 'Bill' Grapstul Obituary

William "Bill" Grapstul, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. 

Bill was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident. He worked for Local Union 3 in New York City as a master high-voltage electrician for over forty years. He was a social member of Robbins Reef Yacht Club in Bayonne, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed donating his time to the Boy Scouts and Youth baseball, and loved spending time with his family and friends. 

Bill is predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Alice Grapstul (nee Scott) of Bayonne; mother-in-law Ann Zaszewski of Bayonne; brothers-in-law Tom Wilkos of Howell, and Richie Zaszewski of Bayonne. Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Grapstul (nee Zaszewski); his two children, Laura Grapstul and Billy Grapstul; his sister-in-law Leona Green of Albuquerque, NM; his two brothers, Gary Grapstul of Bayonne, Wayne Grapstul and his wife Kim of Brick, NJ, and his sister Susan Wilkos of Wall Township, NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

A brief viewing will be conducted at Dzikowski, Pierce, Levis Funeral Home in Bayonne oon Friday, February 12th, 2021 at 10:00am, with a church service to follow at 12:00pm at St. John Paul II Church in Bayonne. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
